Shamanism Retreat Mealtime:
S.L.O.W. Food

Cooking at the Edge focuses on balancing globally far-flung tastes with provincially produced foods. While seasonal menus are inspired by flavors from afar, meals are prepared with ingredients raised closer to home.

Some food ingredients come from gardens at the Edge, but most comes from local gardens and Ontario farms, including a local organic meat provider. On special occasions we serve local beer from Highlander Brewery in South River and wines made by Viewpointe Estates Winery.

Read chef Gregor Water's PDF on how he grows and plans meals at the Edge.

S.L.O.W. means sustainable, local, organic and wholesome.

While we endeavor to provide a 100 mile diet, we always do our best to deliver food that will be remembered and treasured.

Our meals are served buffet style and we ask each guest to describe their food restrictions for health and personal reasons so that we can deliver a colourful, tasteful meal that satisfies the needs of our wide variety of guests.
