Medicine for the Earth: You are invited to attend a shamanic circle based on the work of author/shamanic teacher Sandra Ingerman. The material for this circle is based on the book Medicine for the Earth. The circle will be facilitated Martha Lucier, a student of Sandra Ingerman’s and held at Northern Edge Algonquin retreat and awareness centre, near South River, Ontario. The gatherings teach us how to transform personal and environmental pollution by learning how to transmute our negative beliefs, attitudes, and energy that comes forth from our emotions. We will learn how to work in cooperation with our helping spirits, the spirits of the land and own divine nature, to create transmutation. We will explore the key elements of transmutation which we can incorporate into our life to transform and transmute environmental and personal toxins. We will deepen our connection with all of life as well as the elements as we merge with earth, water, fire and air beings through the use of the shamanic journey. We will explore the great power of visioning and perform a powerful ceremony with fire to manifest our visions. The work done together in collaboration with community and the spirits will be a life transforming experience. The meeting times are scheduled as: Week 1 Sunday January 9, 2005 Experience with shamanic journeying is necessary. Please contact me if you are interested in the gatherings, and don’t have shamanic journey experience. It is highly recommended that participants read Medicine for the Earth, and do the exercises, to deepen the learning experience. There are copies available at the Blue Canoe in South River. Please bring a journal, comfortable clothing, drum or rattle if you have one and be prepared for weather, as we occasionally spend time outdoors. There is no fee for this circle, with the intent that the seeds will be shared with others, however a small donation per session is helpful to help pay for snacks and heating costs.
